Mooroopna Primary School is home to approximately 230 students from diverse backgrounds. Around 20% of our students are Koorie, and we are proud to nurture a culturally inclusive and caring environment.

Specialist Programs

Mooroopna Primary offers a variety of specialist programs designed to enrich and extend student learning. These include:

  • Art, Music, PE, and Library programs that develop creativity, physical skills, and a love of reading.

  • Instrumental tuition in brass, woodwind, and percussion, available for Year 5–6 students, giving them the opportunity to explore and develop musical talents.

Our facilities are designed to support a dynamic and engaging learning experience, providing students with spaces that inspire creativity, collaboration, and personal growth. From hands-on art and music experiences to interactive library and physical education programs, every student has the opportunity to explore their interests and build confidence in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Mooroopna Primary offers a variety of programs to support student learning, wellbeing, and engagement:

  • Breakfast Program – ensuring students start the day ready to learn.

  • Break-Time Clubs – opportunities for social connection and exploring interests.

  • Construction Group – hands-on learning through building and teamwork.

  • Boys’ and Girls’ Groups – supporting social skills and personal growth.

  • Before/After School Care + vacation care – provided on-site by TheirCare for flexible, safe supervision.

Our Place Mooroopna

Mooroopna Primary shares it’s space with Our Place, a community-focused initiative bringing together education, health, wellbeing, and family support services in one location. Our Place provides families with access to programs and services that support children’s learning, development, and overall wellbeing, fostering strong connections between school, home, and community.

Mooroopna Children and Families Centre

Located on the school site, the Mooroopna Children and Families Centre offers early childhood education, including long daycare and three and four‑year‑old kindergarten programs. The Centre also provides family support services and health programs, helping children build strong foundations and ensuring a smooth transition into primary school.
